Is there a modern artist that we have studied in class that intrigues you? Visit The Art Story.com (link available in Catalyst) and write a 2 page summary of one 20th
century artist. (Note: this cannot be the same artist you wrote your museum paper on.) On the toolbar click: Artist Overviews. Read the detailed overview of the the
artists career and write a brief summary of the main ideas using your own words. What type of art did they create? What period in art history are they associated
with? What was going on in history when they were working? Did anything influence the development of their style? Then select one work of art by the artist from the
toolbar on the right where it features analysis of their art works. Describe the example and give your critique of the work. Discuss the subject matter visual element
and content. Why does this artist intrique you? What do you like about their work?
