Please submit one topic area for our “class choice” discussion.Describe in 2-3 sentences what you think our discussion should be about. 

Example: 

Proposed topic–Immigrants and Pop Culture

Explanation–I would want the class to discuss how immigrant journeys are portrayed in media, and specifically how the idea of the “American dream” informs those narratives. We shouldn’t just limit ourselves to talking about texts concerning immigrants, but what it means to analyze media from a migrant perspective.
