NR 708 Week 7 You Decide Reflection
Week 1 We explored healthcare delivery systems and organizations and explored the status of healthcare delivery in our country, from the perspective of nursing practice. We spoke about how sociopolitical and socioeconomic events have historically contributed to the position we now face in the need for healthcare reform. Also, we examine the role of the doctor ally prepared nurse (DNP) in bringing about change in health policy.
Week 2 We explored healthcare economics and finance. The focus on healthcare reform from the perspective of managed care, the current state of managed care and the problems with cost containment that sometimes create more costs from both macroeconomic and microeconomic perspectives. We considered the unique possibilities as we examined the impact of healthcare economics and finance from a nursing practice perspective.
