I wanted to get back to you with some comments on your paper so you can make improvements. Right now it is very general, with few citations. You need to demonstrate that you’ve done some in-depth research to get a passing grade.
I’m not exactly sure how you’ve defined your topic – Viking weapons in relation to their beliefs about the gods and war? You need to identify this more directly in the first paragraph. What does the ear scoop have to do with weapons? You’ve made some broad generalizations about the motivation for Viking raids and warfare. Do you have the sources to back that up? Which chapter/s did you use in Brink and Price? You need to cite the authors and titles of chapters that you consult in an edited collection.
