Cohen’s news agency is the largest in Chadford, a town of 13,000 people. It is the only one to make deliveries. The only other way for the citizens to get newspapers is to buy them in milk bars. Cohen’s stock various provincial papers nearly all of which get to town too late to be in the rounds. Melbourne morning dailies are in the rounds as is the Chadford Clarion. 800 households in Chadford get one or more newspapers delivered and four boys are employed to do this. They work in regions called North, South, East and West. Each region has about 200 households. The boys carry their loads on specially designed tray tricycles as the load is too great for a standard bicycle.
